The St. Michaels Heim is located in a quiet, affluent residential area at Lake Herthasee in the borough of Berlin-Grunewald. In only a few minutes you reach the popular Kurfürstendamm with its restaurants and shops. The Grunewald Forest is a beautiful place for a relaxing stroll in the fresh air.

In the former Mendelssohn Palace you will find not only a youth hostel and a hotel but also a church, a restaurant, various rooms for conferences and events as well as one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Berlin. Visit us and get to know Berlin in the most relaxing way.

Our "Haus der Begegnung" ("House of Encounters") is spread over a large area of more than 23,000m². As well as the hotel and youth hostel, you will find here a popular restaurant, a kindergarten and two doctor's practices. In the former "House of the Gardener" you find a botanic nursery. In an annex there is a welfare centre and a mentoring organisation.

Cancellations

Children and extra beds

All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 8.00 per stay for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 18.00 per night and person for extra beds. All children from 3 to 12 years are charged EUR 13.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 4.
