The Hotel am Markt in Buttenheim is located at the gateway to Franconian Switzerland.
In this former St.Georgenbräu brewery guesthouse you find comfortable, romantic guest rooms in rustic Franconian style. The neighbouring “Bräustübla” serves in-house speciality beers.
Buttenheim is famous for being the birthplace of the man behind Levi’s jeans, as well as for its centuries-old brewing tradition, and for its excellent gastronomy including its beer cellars.
The name of the market town originates from the liquid container "Butt" (the same in English), as these were used to carry water from the well.

Our guest rooms have been lovingly and individually renovated and furnished in a modern yet rustic Franconian style.
The prominent timber beams provide an inviting contrast to the bright country-style furniture.
Non-smoking rooms, ground floor rooms and multi-bed rooms are available.
Our guest rooms offer a cosy, laidback atmosphere. Breakfast is of course prepared personally by the manageress.
In addition to hearty Franconian cuisine we also offer a standard menu, and we provide a children's menu for our young guests.
For our older guests, or for those with a smaller appetite, we offer small portions of almost every dish on the menu.
Vegetarians will not be disappointed here: we offer vegetable strudels, cheese "spätzle" (Swabian egg noodles), a variety of salads and more.
Our restaurant is open daily from 11:00. Hot meals are available every day, right through until 21:00. During the summer months (May to September) our pub closes at 14:00 and our beer cellar is open from 15:30.
