Set in the heart of South Shields, a traditional seaside resort in the north of England, this dynamic hotel provides comfortable and modern accommodation, just a short walk from the beaches.
At the centre of the North Sea Cycle Route, this is the ideal place to come and be re-invigorated. The hotel also offers a unique selection of adrenalin-inducing outdoor sports to complement your stay, whether be it surfing, scuba diving, power-kiting, skydiving or rock climbing. Outdoor sports courses are carried out by experienced, qualified coaches and are tailored to suit beginners as well as more experienced students. Many of these courses are highly popular and should be booked in advance.
Close to all that the area has to offer, yet far enough away for you to enjoy a good night's sleep, a metro stop is found nearby, providing easy access to surrounding attractions, city shopping and lively nightlife.

Directions
By car:
- Follow signs for the A194 (for South Shields)
- Follow the A194 dual carriageway into the centre of South Shields over a series of roundabouts. The dual carriageway ends at the roundabout with The Lord Clyde public house on the left.
- Turn right here and continue along to the end of the road at the T-junction controlled by traffic lights.
- Keep in the left lane on approach. Turn left at the traffic lights and move into the right lane where you can head through the next set of lights veering to the right.
- The Town Hall will be on your right. This is Beach Road. Go straight over the next roundabout and the hotel is on your left (number 55).
Parking: Secure parking is available on-site. This is free, although a refundable deposit is required for the car park security shutter.
By train:
From Newcastle Airport or Newcastle Central Station:
- Catch the metro to 'South Shields'. (55 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Newcastle Central.
- From South Shields station, it is a 5 minute walk. Turn right onto King Street.
- Follow this road until you reach the roundabout. Turn right.
- Follow this road towards the Town Hall, turning left just before it onto Beach Road.
- Go straight over the next roundabout and the hotel is on your left (number 55).
