About the hotel
Stayokay Soest is an HI-hostel in the heart of the Netherlands, nearby Amersfoort. Among woods and dunes and yet easy to reach. The perfect place for a few days of walking, cycling, swimming, visiting palaces and museums, maybe a visit to the city: Stayokay Soest is the ideal home base for enjoying nature and culture.
Stayokay Soest offers plenty of comfort. The rooms are housed in a separate wing and all feature private sanitary facilities. The main hall is the place to meet fellow guests for sharing stories about your adventures or relax in the bar and restaurant, enjoy the reading table or kick back in the TV room.
Outside Stayokay Soest has a number of sports and playing fields, a picnic area and camp fire place. The hostel has different sports and games equipment.
Eventhough Stayokay Soest accommodates your stay for one night or longer whether you’re alone, with friends or with your family, we also offer the opportunity for groups to stay with us for one day. The building and it’s surroundings are perfect for activities such as meetings, day (or longer) trainings, music rehearsals and other fun get togethers such as (wedding) receptions, (family) reunions or (birthday) parties. The hostel has several rooms suitable for any number of people from 10 to 180. A bar with a broad assortment of (alcoholic) drinks completes the picture.
The hostel personnel are open to your ideas on organization. We are also happy to share our ideas in planning your meeting in Stayokay Soest.
Audio-visual aids are present. The hostel staff are tuned into welcoming groups; from primary schools to universities and other (educative) meetings. The hostel staff are willing and able to make a suitable programme on request. Special rates apply for groups.

Classified as an ANWB 5-star accommodation Stayokay Soest offers all the necessities one needs. Each room, whether dormitory or private, has it's own sanitary facilities. As well as bunk beds the rooms also have cupboards, tables and chairs. We offer single, twin, triple and quadruple rooms as well as 5, 6, 7 bedded rooms and a 10 bedded dormitory.

A good menu is an essential element for a successful stay. When you are at Stayokay Soest you are at the right address. The standard menus that are served are of top quality. We offer a lunch buffet (10 persons or more), packed lunches (Euro 4,45) and a three-course dinner (Euro 9,45). The three- course dinner is a menu-of-the-day. If you have any special (e.g. dietary or vegetarian) needs they will be taken into account. Our colleagues are eager and available to make yours an unforgettable stay.
Many guests prefer something different to a simple meal. A festive buffet or barbecue…
Good quality and tasteful presentation are a must for us. The hostel personnel are willing to help you in any further needs or preferences.
The chefs prepare delicious breakfasts and dinners. The kitchen will be happy to arrange special meals on request such as a tropical buffet or barbecue.
Directions
Directions
Soest is situated 20 km from Utrecht, 7 km from Amersfoort, 10 km from Hilversum and 40 km from Amsterdam. These are popular towns for museums, culture, shopping and buzzing nightlife. These places are easy to reach by public and private transport- the bus and train station Soest-Zuid
is only 5 minutes walk from the hostel. Stayokay Soest is easily accessible by both public and private transport.
Private transport :
*From Utrecht (A28) : take exit 4 Soest/Soesterberg. Follow Soest until you are in Soest. At the first traffic lights go to the left. Straight ahead, cross the railway tracks, continue 50m after the traffic lights and turn left into the ‘Pimpelmees’ street, which becomes the Bosstraat. You will find the hostel on the right-hand side.
*From Amersfoort : take one of the several routes to Soest. Once in Soest follow the signs directing you towards the industrial area until you cross the railway tracks. Then follow the directions above .
*From Amsterdam/Hilversum (A1) or Hilversum (A27) : take exit 10 to Soest/Baarn. Follow direction Soest until you see Palace Soestdijk on your right, the first traffic lights to the right, next traffic light to the left. Follow this road (Koningsweg) to the end (± 3km), until you 200m past a sharp turn to the left. Then turn right into the ‘Pimpelmees’ street, which becomes the Bosstraat. You will find the hostel at the right-hand side.
Public transport :· The ‘Soest-Zuid’ NS-station merely 500m from the hostel.Cross the railway tracks and walk down the path which is next to the bicycle stand. This is the beginning of the Bosstraat. Keep going straight on and the hostel will be on your right hand side.
From Amersfoort NS-station, take bus 70 (direction Hilversum) or 72 (direction Soestdijk-Noord). Get out at ‘Soest-Zuid’ station.
