The Houseboat under the Mill is set in a peaceful location in the northwest, with a beautiful view over the water. Wake up to find the rippling canal water reflected on your ceiling and get up to prepare your own favourite breakfast.
The houseboat (45 m²) is situated under a wonderful old mill and has a separate living room and bedroom. In the neighbourhood there are plenty of cheap parking spaces and easy public transport links to the city centre. The houseboat offers accommodation for 1 to 4 people.
The houseboat has a private entrance, is fully furnished and sleeps up to 4 people. During your stay you will have the houseboat entirely to yourself.
The owners speak fluent English, German, Dutch and basic French.
Please note that the entire hotel is non smoking.

Check In / Check Out
- You may check in from 14:00 hours onwards.
- You must check out by 11:00 hours.
Cancellations
If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Public parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 7.00 per day.

Children and extra beds
All children are welcome. All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of total guests in a room is 4. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Important Information
Immediately after making your booking you must contact the owners of the houseboat to indicate your time of arrival. At least one week (in the summer and Christmas/New year period, at least 3 weeks) before your arrival date you must inform the owners of your definite arrival time.
In some periods (summer period and Christmas/New year) period we ask for partly advance-payment.
Room information
The houseboat is fully furnished and sleeps up to 4 people. The living room area can sleep 2 people on the sofa bed and the separate bedroom has 2 beds (twin bedstead). The houseboat has its own shower and toilet.
For an additional fee the following services can be provided: laundry/ironing, child minding (up to 10 years old), extra bed, transport. Pets are allowed for a fee, though you must contact the owners first. A reduced price parking permit is also possible.

The price is based on 2 people sharing. The boat has a capacity of 4 persons sharing. The 3rd and 4th person pay a supplement of EUR 25 pp pn. The boat consists of a bedroom with twin bedstead, in the living a couchbed for 2 persons.

Restaurants and Bars
No meals are provided. The houseboat is fully equipped for self-catering with a kitchen, gas hob, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans. Coffee, tea, sugar, coffee whitener, salt, pepper and some spices are provided for free.
Near to the houseboat there are small food shops, a supermarket, takeaway food and various restaurants.
Directions
BY CAR :
- Driving from Schiphol Airport, Den Haag take the A4 road towards Amsterdam.
- Then take Ring Amsterdam West (A10) towards Zaanstad.
- Driving from Amersfoort (A1), take the Ring Amsterdam Oost (A 10) towards Den Haag.
- Then take Ring Amsterdam West (A10) towards Zaanstad.
- Driving from Utrecht (A2), take Ring Amsterdam Zuid (A10) towards Den Haag.
- Then take Ring Amsterdam West (A10) towards Zaanstad.
- After you take the West turning towards Zaanstad continue until exit S103 (Haarlem) which you need to take.
- At the end of the exit turn right in the direction of Centrum (Haarlemmerweg).
- Drive straight on until you reach the 4th set of traffic lights.
- Turn left at the traffic lights towards the windmill.
- Take the next right and then turn left into the car park. You will see the houseboat (number 6) right in front of the lawn around from the windmill.
Parking fees are required between 09.00 and 19.00, except Sundays.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
- From Schiphol Airport railway station take the intercity train to Amsterdam Central Station.
- From Central Station take Bus number 21, which is located at the bus terminal on the very left bridge.
- Get off at Vredenhof (ask the driver to warn you where to get off). Your journey should take about 10 minutes.
- Cross this road and continue walking in the driving direction of the bus until you reach the windmill.
- Turn left into the second path just before the windmill. The houseboat (number 6) is the second one along, facing the windmill, directly in front of the lawn beside the windmill.
There are connections from the houseboat to the city centre by bus and tram. For a small price, it may be possible for the owners to drive you to some locations in the city centre.
